The new summer concert on the eve of the Swiss National day discovers and promotes Swiss Poets and Composers. This year’s concert is dedicated to Swiss Poet Gottfried KELLER – famous through his novel A VILLAGE CALLED ROMEO AND JULIET –, who is celebrating his 200th birthday. Among others, the 12 poems of his cycle OLD TALES were performed in music by Hugo WOLF, Hans SOMMER, Hans PFITZNER, and Felix WEINGARTNER.
