    SARAH-MARIA SCHMID FLUTE

    FRANZISKA HEINZEN SOPRANO

    BENJAMIN MEAD PIANO

  • A thematically curated song recital exploring longing and poetic encounters: at its heart is the flute, an archetype of breath — a mythical instrument poised between nature and voice. From Syrinx by Claude Debussy, through works by André Caplet, Philippe Gaubert and Reynaldo Hahn, to Albert Roussel and Frank Martin, the programme unfolds in a wide expressive arc. With excerpts of Shéhérazade by Maurice Ravel, a world of light and exotic colour opens — an invitation to listen, to dream, and to pause.
