A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM

With his music for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Felix Mendelssohn created one of the most enchanting sound worlds of the Romantic era. Fairies, tangled romances and nocturnal magic from Shakespeare’s beloved comedy come vividly to life in shimmering colours. In a special version for wind quintet and narrator, the story unfolds anew: transparent, condensed, witty and full of charm.

Founded in 2022 and already award-winning, ENSEMBLE FOKUS combines chamber music precision with a joyful spirit of performance and narrative flair. Appearing on international stages, the ensemble is also dedicated to creative music outreach projects for diverse audiences.
