  • THOUGHTS OF LOVE

A chamber music recital featuring 12 women composers

Together with Valais violinist Désirée Pousaz – who has long been dedicated to reviving and promoting the works of forgotten or overlooked female composers – and the song duo Heinzen/Mead, we embark on an inspiring musical journey of rediscovery.

This intimate evening of violin, soprano, and piano takes the audience through the distinct sound worlds of twelve composers. The recital serves as both a tribute to their creative power and a celebration of lesser-known works from the past two centuries that challenge the boundaries of classical music.

The programme explores themes of spring awakening and night, offering a rich palette of sonic colors and poetic dimensions – shaped by Afro-American, Chinese, or Icelandic traditions, from Romanticism to contemporary music. The works are performed in an array of solo, duo, and trio combinations, allowing a broad sound spectrum to unfold, making each composer’s personal voice and artistic journey clearly audible. These compositions create fascinating musical islands: realms of delicate sensitivity, inner strength, and poetic vision expressed in unique musical languages – testaments to profound artistry and the enduring path of courage, passion, and love for music as a universal force.
